Vesta / Dawn by Sudhaus

Grammy-nominated veteran producer Mike Koglin (Germany) needs little introduction. His numerous works on labels such as Noys, Anjunabeats, and Mondo are still fresh in our minds. MoodFreak (Germany), a frequent Arrival contributor, teams up with Mike Koglin to present their pseudonym Sudhaus. This EP, entitled "Vesta", presents two progressive cuts, of which the title track was initially featured on our "Arrival 02: Destination Indonesia" compilation.

The title track takes off with a firm groove, brilliantly injected with numerous well-crafted sound effects. Deep, rolling bassline notes emerge soon thereafter, and subtle yet refreshing melodies are added in the background. In the break, a blissful piano line makes its entrance, which is beautifully accompanied by inspiring arpeggio melodies.

The B-side, "Dawn", begins in the same manner with a strong groove and hypnotizing soundscape. Presenting an array of ingenious sound effects, the song showcases a level of detail that is impossible to miss. The break features a gorgeous atmosphere with lush pad layers and delicious textures.
