Disco Imperium by Sturm Café
We have decided to release a little digital only summer EP with 2 remixes and a non-album track while we wait to finish up the new album.
First out is KREIGN that have done a remix of our old 2003 club banger Stiefelfabrik. KREIGN is an American EBM project based in Arizona that consist of Ryan Hutman and Xiån Austin. This remix really slays and them American boys really brought new life into the track with their hard hitting heavy EBM!
Second track is called Gustav I, which refers to King Gustav I of Sweden aka Gustav (of house) Vasa. This song was actually the first song we did during the Fernes Land session back in 2019 but was never used for the album. It’s a special track that mixes non-contemporary dance music with some spacesynth and EBM while actually not containing any vocals from Jonatan. But to call it an instrumental doesnt feel 100% right since it got a lot of samples and voice synthesis. This track will not appear on the new album.
Last track is a remix of 1632 by the Stockholm based producer Deco Delight aka Emil Robertsson. Emil have been in the electronic scene since he got Kraftwerks Computer World on cassette tape back in 1981. He was also in the industrial band MINDWIRE during the early 90’s and did run the now legendrary clubs Infinity and Hexagon at the famous Kolingsborg venue in Stockholm. Deco Delight have reshaped 1632 into a interesting club track with a nice build up!
