Level 3 by Strings

Level Three is a series of melodic and ambient soundscapes that take a musical journey through time and emotion. Being an instrumental recording, we attempt to emote by using new timbres, effects and melodic movement leaving the listener free to explore their own thoughts. We hope you are able to create your own mental story and include yourself in this musical conversation that we are attempting to share as the players.

This album reflects the feelings we have endured and signals some of the changes in our lives. New thoughts and directions are portrayed by all the tracks except Acoustic Evening; this track reflects our friendship stability for over 40 years. This is a sound collage for the momentary conscious thought. Once played, it will never sound the same way twice. We are artists. We try to find a wavelength of thought through sound for personal or shared exploration.

"This album is unique to me because most of it was recorded in my absence. While I struggled to recover from open-heart surgery, George and Bob were recording some new music while wrestling with the void of my absence. I can feel it in the music they played. The Czar's New Window, marks my return to the studio in a triumphant fashion. Had a good time... Having good times... Hope they never end."

Music will always remain a constant in our lives, for music will never stay the same.
