"taubenstaub".

the music that is "taubenstaub" found its way here in late november and december of 2024.

at that time, i contacted an american musician around the matter of a collaboration. these pieces were imagined as "underpaintings" for his music. for one reason and another, it didn't reach that point and so i let the music be.

sometime later, i decided to delete a lot of old files, and in that process i came across a folder titled "stopped or stalled projects" and i found this music . . . i gave it a handful of listens and while i felt its role in the original work as "underpainting, i also thought that with some care and kindness, it could find something closer to it's actual and intended purpose here . . .

both erik and i are very happy that this music got resurrected from its original intention and that through grace, care, and good fortune, it is now being brought to the ears of whomever is actually intended to hear it ...
