one year ago today, my mum ruth flew away. i held her hand as she breathed her last breath. music was unavailable to me for three weeks after that. then suddenly one day . . . "ruthsong" appeared. I shipped it to my dear friend erik emil eskildsen in denmark and he mastered it as part of a larger release entitled "spirit" https://stevenleak1.bandcamp.com/album/spirit

i decided to work and play with the mastered stems for the original ruth song so as to bring a more updated sense of where i am at in relation to my mum flying away. and so, "ruthsong one year later" is here . . . .
