Icarus from icarus by steven leak

this is my third extended soundscape in the Naucrates, Daedalus. Icarus trilogy . . . .

"icarus" . . . .
this music takes its name from the son of the father "daedalus" and the son of the mother"naucrate".

"icarus" was created using an Arturia Microfreak synthesizer, Red Panda Tensor and Particle pedals, pre-recorded loops on an Electro-Harmonix 74000, a TC Infinite pedal, a Zoom multiplex pedal, field recordings, found sounds (including kitchen utensils, a bear bell, pots, pans, an oven rack, a wok lid, a scotch mint, a koshi wind chime) and all of this was at some time or another, live-room recorded onto a Zoom H4N.

i am deeply grateful to Erik Emil Eskildsen for what he brought to this project that somehow miraculously, mysteriously was what i heard in my head but didn't know how to "do" . . .

i am also grateful to tobias reber for providing the cover image.
