NOSTALGIA by steuart liebig

this album started off as one "color study" using my then-new asm hydrasynth (and then later, a second for layered sounds).

i started working on this music on 21 december 2019 and then put it aside while i worked on some other things. in around march, when the world went into lockdown, i started up on it again and it grew into four more related pieces. i finished it all on 21 june 2020, which has a nice symmetry.

multiple tracks were played manually into abelton, edited and aligned. the only abelton effects are reverb to tie everything together a bit.

i chose the name "nostalgia"—i'm pretty sure you can hear why.
