I traded in my eyes
to see the world I loved,
I traded all my words
see the world as I was young.
Followed the demands,
cut off both my hands,
these pages full of white
tempting me to promise lands.
I never bartered lungs
but she promised a love,
and I knew I’d give up
so I gave her all she wants.
After I was failing
was I worth the saving?
Anything to get me to who I once was.

I don’t think I’ve adjusted yet
I still see myself as nothing yet.
I’m idle as a god they don’t treat me as I’m one,
it’s harder to move on, is this what I want?

well if I don’t try then I’m damned don’t do this to get famous
I know nothing else but this
cause everything just all makes sense
from the chords to the blank page
Won’t stop it until I make it.
Gave up all my silver plates,
made peace with my Madonna
took the garbage out of my place,
Calvary don’t call my name
All the words that I said
and all the guilt that I made
I want to let you know that I’m doing fine
