They say these lyrics speak of resistance, and that the words they’re made from flow from the subconscious. That through rhymes & rhythms, an oasis has formed, and that beneath the surface, another life is possible.

Il se dit que ce son est issu des profondeurs, qu’il est à la portée des oreilles curieuses. Qu’il prend corps dans les sous-sols, pour s’élever vers le cosmos. Il se raconte que ces textes parlent de résistance et que les mots qui les composent sont le fruit du subconscient. Qu’au fil des rimes l’oasis aurait pris forme, qu’au dessous de la surface une autre vie est possible.

The story begins in 2000 in Britany (France). Two guys decide to create a sound system with the aim of sharing their common passion for roots reggae and early digital. Rootystep (selecta) and MacGyver (operator) begin to collect records and purchase music equipment. They are quickly joined by Pupa Jim who becomes the MC, the singer and the dub builder.
