Alt-country folk outfit, Sports Club, hails from Winnipeg’s finest basements and late-night party jam sessions. Small town Winnipeg connections and word of mouth have fused together lost members from different genres to create a band of feel good tunes that are reminiscent of lead singer Kade Reimer’s musical inspirations such as Bright Eyes, The Weakerthans, and M. Ward. More importantly, with the help and influence of local musicians including Micah Erenberg and Little House fueling Reimer’s creative spark. Themes of heartbreak, self-discovery, and good times are all wrapped up in highly energetic and danceable tunes.
