Runaway from Black Flower by Spisfire
Runaway is a track with a truly unique atmosphere, impossible to confine to a simple ambient label — as noted in Balthaz’s review.
It opens with an electro-house and breakbeat intro, then strange synth pads emerge while the bass becomes muffled. The rhythm turns airy yet metallic, before bright notes introduce the main theme. Gradually, the synths grow more complex, layered with effects that pull the listener deeper into an ever-expanding soundscape.
This track almost wrote itself, born from pushing my software’s capabilities to the limit. While the feeling of “running away” is most present in the intro, it was during the creation process that I truly felt it — the sense of going further and further away.
