Refuge by Spirit Box

This be the follow up EP from Spirit Box after the June 2025 inaugural album release of "la Intima". I'd worked long on editing & polishing "la Intima" and found myself removed from the more creative phases, so it was a rejuvenating jolt moving back into the organic creating mindset. Refuge has similar tumbling abstract structures, less melancholy and more of a rhythmic percolation. There's even some humor & hope hidden here and there.
As much as I'd like to share my intentions of the work, I decided to let the pieces speak for themselves, just as I dislike titling my paintings. Note: "Lay Her Down" is a reimagined song from two sources sewn together from a Sister Black Lagoon band track and a Brandon Alsup collaboration years ago, about the loss of dear friends, way way too many.
