Broken Britain by Deejay Postie

This is the story of a post-New Labour and pre-Brexit Britain, as told by the street poets, MCs and musicians of an underground UK Hip Hop and Reggae Scene. Originally recorded in 2011 as part of a mix-swap for members of the DWG hip hop forum, it has since been re-mastered, updated and rejigged a little for this limited cassette edition. It is intended as a time capsule of sorts... put together to represent the voices of the voiceless and the opinions of the dispossessed at a turning point in British history, when internalised rage at the establishment bubbled over onto the streets of a number of UK cities. It is the history of the beginning of the UK’s journey to Brexit and beyond…
