Our heroine was speaking at the conference of kings
as the jokers and the brokers were waiting in the wings
to disavow their roles save for the pulling of the strings
which is why we sing:

blah blah our way into oblivion

Culture wars are a privilege we soon may not afford
we’re hooked up to a system, we cannot cut the cord
arguing over nothing except the right to be ignored

Every day the plastic piles up and most we can’t reuse
recycling is a myth, most of it’s refused
can solutions form a bridge to something sane
or is it all just a game of:
blah blah blah
blah blah our way into oblivion

Glaciers disappearing, dams on the verge of collapse
the ice that held these mountains through centuries is going fast
it’s all about posturing, the Green Movement,and casting doubt
the rubble of wars, deforestation and drought
from New Mexico to California, Greece and France
fires are burnin’ everybody out - which is why we shout:

blah blah blah
blah blah our way into oblivion
