Whilst this piece is one that was written ‘pre diagnosis’, I think it describes quite well the difficulties and complexities of ‘navigating’ my thoughts around getting such news. It’s in 5/4 - which makes
it quite complex to play, let alone improvise over. I think that Jon Brown plays a beautiful flugelhorn solo.
