Bad Lots by Double Manufacturers' Coupons
Double Manufacturers' Coupons is back with six new numbers which are also interpretations of Guan Yin's quatrains from the 14th century.
This is the first DMC album to feature vocals, provided by Gary Heidt, who formerly was lead singer for Devil Donkey (Houston) in the 1980's, for Gland (NYC) in the 1990's, and for Fist of Kindness (NYC) in the twenty-first century; he also sang a lead part off-off Broadway in Van Reipen Collective's staging of Objects by Gertrude Stein.
The concept is still primarily instrumental, with Mark Dixon providing the compositional impetus on bass. Mark Dixon, of course, being a main mover of the conceptual art band Sounds Invisible, also played with Catharsis, Otis Reem and Żegota.
