貢ぎ (Tribute) by Hanzo0

"貢ぎ (Tribute)" is the debut EP by mysterious producer Hanzoo Hattori, also known as Hanzo0 coming out via Soul Feeder. Little is known about them, apart from their love for Y2K aesthetic and Japanese video-games, animes and mangas. With this EP, Hanzo0 pays their personal tribute to some of the animated series and movies that meant the most to them, as the title suggests. In order to do so, they built every track by selecting samples from their favorite anime OST reworking them in their personal style. This said, 貢ぎ (Tribute), is far from being a remix album: all the samples are, in fact, processed, chopped and placed so that they turn into raw material to build something new entirely, while remaining highly recognizable for all aficionados of the shows and movies.
