Son Lux's third album, titled "Lanterns" is slated for release in October. As a precursor, Joyful Noise Recordings has released "TEAR", a conceptual 7" featuring one new song in two distinct parts. The music featured on TEAR is exclusive to this 7" and will not be included on the upcoming full-length. However, this'll give you a taste of the next-level shit you can expect to hear on "Lanterns".
In physical form, TEAR is limited to just 300 copies on glass-green w/ black haze vinyl. Featuring custom letterpress artwork, each copy is personally hand-numbered and signed by Ryan Lott (aka Son Lux). [7" VINYL IS SOLD OUT]
From the start, Son Lux has operated as something akin to a sonic test kitchen. The band strives to question deeply held assumptions about how music is made and re-construct it from a molecular level. What began as a solo project for founder Ryan Lott expanded in 2014, thanks to a kinship with Ian Chang and Rafiq Bhatia too strong to ignore.
