This album marks the first release of collaborations between Andres Bosshard and Frank Schulte from the years 1997 - 1999. The Swiss musician, sound architect and sound artist is considered an “international luminary” in the field of sound art and sound architecture. Schulte and Bosshard first met in 1990 as part of the “visionary Switzerland” festival, conceived by Schulte as a side event to Harald Szeemann's art exhibition of the same name in Düsseldorf, and since then have maintained an intensive friendship and artistic exchange in performative and installation projects.

The soundscapes heard here were recorded in 1997 in the project Klanginsel Au on the Au peninsula on Lake Zurich and during a live production at the astropeiler in the Eifel in 1999 and represent the two artists' preference for spatial movements and interdisciplinary soundscapes and their connection to radio waves and outer space.
