Alaska by Skyline Drive

After his recent "In Your Arms" EP (with Jan Martin), American artist Skyline Drive is back on our imprint with a new chillout and downtempo 4-track collection, entitled "Alaska."

"Port Of Dutch Harbor (Prelude)" begins with a number of intriguing guitar riffs, and numerous subtle new melodies and sound effects emerge as the song progresses. In "Sunrise Over Sterling" (with The Polaris Airship), we witness a similar atmosphere as in "Port Of Dutch Harbor." Breathtaking guitar riffs are joined by stunning background melodies, which altogether form absolutely stunning harmonies. "Juneau" takes off with intricate guitar strokes and subtle bass notes. Later, captivating light melodies appear, as well as unique and thrilling sound effects in the background. In the latter half of the song, a remarkably fresh breakbeat adds further texture to the soundscape. Rounding out the release, "Port Of Friday Harbor" consists of a fascinating atmosphere with subtle percussion layers, charming melodies, and intriguing sound textures.
