Skyborne Reveries' self-titled fourth album draws inspiration from ancient texts, midnight star-gazing and travels around the world, to create an album of two distinct halves. The first four tracks are faster-paced, with a folky flavour reminiscent of Windir, Falkenbach or Ensiferum. The second half of the album is more introspective - atmospheric black metal with a hint of doom - as Skyborne Reveries evokes themes of wanderlust, ageing, and the pursuit of meaning.
