JAN 25 is the first virtual tape in the Tape a Month series—an ephemeral journey through sound, where each breath becomes a whisper of the unseen. This release is woven around the shakuhachi flute, an instrument of monks and wanderers, carrying echoes of misty mountain paths, ancient temples, and the quiet space between thoughts. Like the wind through a bamboo forest, the breath shapes the music, dissolving into silence like ripples on a still pond.
Each subsequent tape will follow a different path, embracing new instruments, techniques, and atmospheres—like shifting seasons.
One month might summon the echoes of industrial noise; another, the mystic shadows of the forest.
A meditation in sound, an evolving ritual—Tape a Month is guiding the listener into the space where music walks beside them like an unseen companion.
