Six Inches aimed to re-rockify the punk without resorting to adopting the heavy metal and hard rock clichés their peers were resorting to in the later half of the 80s. Formed by Michael Lewis and Deviant after they left another band, Six Inches lasted about a year, dissolving after several line-up changes in favor of the more progressive (and less lifestyle-driven) Mary.
