"Good Vibes" by Dolly Gamble

“Good Vibes” was discovered while unearthing & listening to some dusty old DAT tapes from studio sessions from around 15 years ago when we had a great jam session with the amazing local saxophonist Patsy Gamble and her good friend, singer songwriter Dolly James.

Not having any of the original stems to complete the finished version or remix we decided as it had some incredible elements we loved, to ask a couple of people to have a go at re-editing what we had instead …and the results were so good they had to be released.

The 2x re-editors in question are Love Drop & Soulfuledge.

Side A sees the unstoppable Love Drop maintaining the original vibe beautifully, cleverly finding those loops & riffs that work so well and brilliantly building the track in a real funk flavoured Lyn Collins/James Brown style groove.

Side B finds Soulfuledge bringing his deephouse grooviness into play by filtering up elements of the track & some clever effects and delay to deliver a straight no holds barred four to the floor funked house flavour to his edit.
