Lyrics
So you think we are civilized, but it’s all just us and them,
Select your roster carefully, so you’re stronger in the end.
Divide and conquer works so well, it’s been proven over time,
Keep your problems over there, and I’ll just take care of mine.
Each generation draw their lines here in the sand,
But like a rising tide, we can wipe it from the land.
Faith’s a choice and nothing more, and we’re all free to believe,
But what you think and what truly is, isn’t quite so clear to see.
Love is love, and hate is hate, and in the end that is the choice,
Instead of heeding what you’ve been told, listen to your inner voice.
Each situation has a line we dare to cross,
Moments of truth that haven’t yet been lost.
Delineations, are just lines that we create,
Imaginary boundaries, that we choose to designate.
Delineations, color well within the lines,
Though pain has hues that are not nearly so defined.
Why do we see the differences, long before how we are the same,
It’s just petty insignificance, but it drives the world insane.
Each embrace starts with open arms, reciprocated in good stead,
A simple act of reaching out, but so often is mis-read.
Pure opposition, means that lines must be retained,
Co-operation, mean these lines won’t be sustained.
Delineation, by the god you recognize,
Hate laced agendas, with a righteousness disguise.
Delineation, by the gender we prefer,
Imposing bias based on ways that never were.
Delineation, by the color of your skin,
Passed each generation, through some weakness from within.
Delineation, by the borders that we draw,
Filter occupation, through these arbitrary laws.
So you think we are civilized, but it’s all just us and them,
Make your choices carefully, so we’re stronger in the end.
