Embers is the first - and final - solo album by Sindre Nedland, the beloved Norwegian vocalist known for his work with In Vain, Funeral, and live contributions to Solefald. Written in the wake of surviving cancer and completed during his final battle with its return, Embers is a stunning and deeply emotional collection of songs that captures Sindre’s soul, wit, warmth, and singular creative voice.

An accomplished vocalist and arranger, Sindre embraced songwriting for the first time in his solo career. What began as simple sketches on a newly purchased guitar blossomed into melancholic, melodic rock songs filled with life and vulnerability. He called it pop - but the guitars still roar, and the emotions run deep.

The album was completed with the help of his closest friends and family, all united in love and urgency as Sindre’s condition worsened. He had full creative control throughout: from lyrics to mix to cover art - featuring “The Wise and Foolish Virgins” by Jay DeFeo, chosen by Sindre himself. Though he never held the vinyl in his hands, he heard the final mix and knew it was truly his album. He was cremated with the very first test press.

He dedicated this record to his wife and his children.
