Sincopat continues its path on International music scene with a second release by French talent Darlyn Vlys.
Soleil Levant is an exciting new release with three original tracks and a remix that brings a different shade to the EP. Also releasing on Upon You, Get Physical, International Freakshow and CR2, Darlyn's future releases will be added to the discography of Perspectiv & Metroline as well as our very own, Sincopat. A career that is growing by leaps and bounds, Soleil Levant will mark a new Chapter in Darlyn's book and will undoubtedly propel this bright young star to new heights on the dance music scene.
Sincopat Records employs a novel and interesting idea of building on the past. Each release is essentially a continuation of the previous one. Every consequent release uses bits and pieces from previous releases and builds his own idea to push the music forward.
Soleil Levant EP opens with Hey Bee See, a track with colorful strings and a temporal soulful vibes that continues Sincopat's motto. It includes samples of Once Upon a Time (Sincopat´s first release) by AFFKT. The track Pursuit is with no doubt the most danceable track, where you will find prodigious loops, exotic arpeggios, breathing voices and superb usage of delay in an amazing breakdown that expires on a giant bass line that's essential for the dance floor.
On B side Between Us features Days Off, a French musician who made his mark in various Indie Rock bands. In 2009, Days Off won the remix contest for a Röyksoop single and has also released on Stripped Recordings and Espai Music.
Between Us is an excellent composition and we can focus on his magical voice that is illuminated by creative synthesizers. On remix duties, AFFKT flips Between Us into a tech-house groover that's sure to be in every DJ's peak time record bag.
Soleil Levant continues as the second chapter in the story of Sincopat. Chapeau monsieur Vlys, you made an elegant, dynamic and deep EP.
