Totem by Imanzi

It’s that time again as we move towards another brand new release project, this time welcoming back Imanzi who sets up camp to create a brand new EP project, consistent of four absolute heaters to represent our seventeenth official EP release.

From start to finish, the project packs a celestial steppers punch, weaving together the weird and wonderful, giving every piece of instrumentation a distinct flavour, yet not substituting any space or atmosphere. We kick off with the breaks infused flavours of the title track entitled ‘Totem’ a sharp roller with grizzly subs causing some serious damage.This is then followed by the tribalistic twists and turns of ‘Kapa Haka’, a powerful collaboration with fellow Norwich based producer ‘Mungk’.

Next we dip into the more grimey designs of ‘2147’, a techy creation packed with hard hitting synth incursions and super skippy drum patterns, splattered over hard hitting bass notation below. Finally, we head out to Austria on remix duty as OME arrives on the scene with a shuffling steppers rethink of ‘2147’, putting the finishing touches on a fantastic project.
