No Statement by Korin Complex

"At Simply Deep, the one thing we truly believe in is expression of sound, hence why it made perfect sense for us to invite the free flowing dubstep inspired soundscapings of Korin Complex in for an official release. He certainly doesn’t disappoint as he blesses the SD movement with a mammoth seven track selection, incorporating the weird, mad and magnificent.

We kick off the project with the downright swampy textures and dubwise devices of ‘Density’, a computerized roller, built with the intention of throwing the dance left and right in a syncopated stuper. Next up, Korin teams up with the raucous stylings of Dalek One for a reesey rumbler by the name of ‘Ancient Contact’, which provides large scale atmospherics and creeping bass tones in perfect balance. Following this we land on the official VIP of ‘Adeptus’, another reese-driven run around, before take a trip to the dubbers dungeon on ‘Can’t Know It’, a monstrously subby sabotage in collaboration with DJ Variant. The collaboration series continues as the pair also join forces on the industrious sounds of ‘Espresso’, which rides off energetic hat and percussion combos above subtle sub drivers and shrieking LFOs.

We then jump into some additional fun as we hit the first official remix from The Greys, one of the most popular new school dubstep faces out of Bristol. He gets to work on stripped back overhaul of ‘Can't Know It’, whilst Darkraqqen steps up to the plate with his lo-fi revamp of ‘Density’, bringing scattered, glitchy melodies and pulsating 808s to the table.

This is a seriously exciting project for us, and we couldn’t be happier in bringing Korin Complex to the forefront of the Simply Deep movement."
