All-Encompassing by Simon Nabatov solo

As the Fall of 2020 rolled in, a short-lived pause in lockdown was a welcome breather, for every one, and certainly for the performing artists. Lots of us jumped at the opportunity to act, play, perform, suspecting (correctly) that this window will not stay open very long. I followed suit and played several concerts at my favorite venue - LOFT in Cologne. The first one was a duo concert with the German saxophonist Matthias Schubert, we released it on Bandcamp under the title "Fragment".

A week later I played a solo concert, and you are hearing the results right here. It was a special performance for me, full of pent-up energy and emotions. Nevertheless, there were also moments of repose and reflection in-between, and the concert ended with a tune which summons up my wish for peace, wisdom and humanity. I hope you will feel it too.

Simon Nabatov, pianist and composer, was born in Moscow in 1959.
In 1979 he emigrated to the USA, spent in NY next 10 years and 1989 he moved to Germany.
Simon Nabatov played with the "who's who" of the jazz and improvised music community, gave concerts in over 60 countries, appeared on the numerous international festivals, received prizes and documented his music on 30 CD's under his own name.
