After releasing a string of experimental EPs to begin the new year, the UK's Simon Klee has put together a full-length set of bright arpeggio sunshine rays, hypnotic drones, motorik pulses, and rhythms that move from deep within for his debut release on Mystic Timbre. Jumping into the world of electronic music after establishing the much-loved mix show Anticipating Nowhere, Momentary Illumination is not unlike one of Klee's exploratory mixes featured there fortnightly, reflecting the focus on serene, natural tranquility and transcendental enquiry. Downtempo bliss, meditative ambient, deep drones, white noise, and synth pads bring to vivid life, like light shining through an overcast sky, these eight reminders of the wonder, beauty, and importance of the natural world.
