Northern Lights by Sidestep
This is my most original effort to date and marks a whole new chapter in music by Sidestep. It's definitely an epic at 14 tracks and 76 minutes in length! I thought long and hard about removing songs to make it shorter but I couldn't. Each song is very important to me and although certain ones take on different moods they all contribute to paint a larger picture that is "Northern Lights." It's for this reason that many of the songs have counterparts or sister tracks that complement each other. My goal with many of the sounds on this album was to create a sense of something big... Something as big as the Aurora Borealis or Aurora Australis. My hope is that at the very least you can find one track on this album that takes you somewhere that feels as epic as watching the Sun use Earth's magnetic field to paint the skies with light. Please give it a listen and if you have something to say, let me know! Any feedback is appreciated! I love to hear what people have to say about the music I put out there... Especially if you feel strongly in any aspect of it!
