She Nods by Shunkan
She Nods is a spectral reflection of the confusion, submission, and alienation of a young teen girl. Written to heal past wounds, Marina Sakimoto attempts to find solace and closure by exploring her most vulnerable memories through moody guitar riffs, taut solos, and unknowing atmosphere. Sakimoto explores the dialectic between these themes with melodic buoyancy and clever storytelling.
