Synthcrawler by Shotgun Denis

I've seen a video on YouTube about the history of video game rpgs and it inspired me to this musical project. I wish I could have lived while the genre was exploding. I always been fascinated with fantasy, knights and dragons. When I was a kid I would take a branch of wood in the forest and I would use it like a sword. In my head, I was a knight and the forest was my adventure.

I love video games even if I don't have the time to play them so much anymore. I tried to imagine the theme soundtrack of theses games only by their respective name. I wish that my concept was more elaborate than that, but it isn't.

Honestly this album is dynamic and there is a multiple different soundscape on this. There is some faster beast like on Colossal Cave Adventure and Ultima. There is some experimentation on Telengard and Oubliette. There is some wacky stuff happening on song like Temple Of Apshai and Rogue.There is other that are more like a crawling groove and more atmospheric like on the track of The Swords Of Fargoal and Times of Lore.

There is plenty to like on here for everyone and I'm really glad I had the time to make it happen.
