Lyrical Poem

On this land we have fought
Spilling the blood of our hearts
Humans lost their lives
Earth, our Mother, cries

But everything isn’t lost
For I’ve seen Peace’s Ghost
Roaming on the Field
Through the corpses and shields

Her white shadow turned to grey
When her eyes met a child’s body
She can’t understand
Humans killing Humans!?

Red, her cloak now lamenting
the lost of faultless beings.
“How’ve you come to this?
I freely gave you bliss”

She said, as she closed the youngster’s eyes
Now dark, of sorrow and empty heart

“Caution!” she whispered to me.
“Mother’s patience has almost all withered”
As she walked away
She smiled with one last say.

“As one, Humans shall remain.
Divided, then All was in vain.”
