roadway draws an ending
my midnight path pretending
road to home
freezing in the cold
tropical
only ironically so
no words left ran dry from my mouth
only getting worse as i drive further south
what i have is hoping
impossibly overflowing
my last second of life,
as i sputter and die
you and i.
side by side.
i stay yours
and you stay mine
waiting at the curb
im a dog with pride
last second of life,
the only thought in my mind
whatevers left to happen will not matter at all

worthless vermin
less than a year alive
someone seemed to notice
beheld at a moment

happy that u chose this
to be held at this moment

how many times to tell me
before the word finally compelled me
the many arms that held me
and the fate that had befell me
so many thoughts to trick me
to believe that i had fixed me
knew i could be the best me
so its ok that you left me
you were the sunlight through the canopy
so i only stared back with apathy
