i don't like the definition of ambient music that it's music that can be both background and focused on.

fundamentally i think ambient is conceptual and experimental so any definition can be subverted to show it's wrong. also there's an uncomfortable objectivism to saying it's background music: music is subjective - just because it's background for you doesnt mean it is for anyone else.

on this album i've arranged tracks so that some of them initially stick out but hopefully in a way that there's still a flow to it (from my perspective at least)

themes range from funny stories on the internet to thoughts of giving up everything i've worked hard to achieve. because life is simple and complex at the same time.

lava flow, falling/flying, drowning/surfacing, loneliness in bustle, deep vague emotions, viscous time - heavy and wasted.
