The Point by Shamik

Our first release is a smooth yet intense production from Vancouver artist, Shamik. It represents a departure leading into a new journey, and contains various field recordings he captured in Victoria, BC. The island is very dear to him and there he patiently recorded birds, footsteps, ships, and a helicopter in the Ogden Point area.

"I found a sense of calmness while recording sounds amidst the rain, ocean, and cold weather. The Point goes back and forth between soft and heavy feelings around these sounds along with layers I created on my keyboard. Every time I go to the island I come back feeling at peace, so I hoped to capture that in this song." -Shamik
