Lyrics
''72 HOURS''
Helpless hands reach from the earth,
Unwillingly set in their graves.
A process of deconstruction
Piece by piece, forever disassembled.
Suit and tie,
veiled in a moral facade.
Eclipsed inside a self-righteous paradox,
Where we trade skin and bone,
for the hate on the tongue of a child made alone.
Sync to the sounds of depravity
Asleep in a war machine,
lulled in an abstract slumbering,
Descend into endless sleep,
as the lantern burns eternally.
Have we constructed the edge of creation?
Are these ends of purity, the means of an iconoclast?
Shattered Horizons
We witness through a screen, the contrasts of humanity.
Ash douses the hues of the skyline.
72 hours.
History is written by the victors,
assembling a passage of dishonesty.
Are we so disconnected from our empathy that our lessons are doomed to repeat?
Three days later we dropped Armageddon on the rising sun,
initiated a contract to trade our blood for the gun.
Eternity in seconds, breathing - pleading for the light to fade.
Off metallic wings the end came crashing,
All to none - without a trace.
Heartlessly wish the damage away,
Blur the line, burn the hope; nuclear disarray.
Burying a child in decay,
A massacre for political praise.
Faltered in your outlines ,
Creating an end to life.
‘’I am become death,
destroyer of worlds’’
