Denial & Error by Secret Dad Trio
This album is 100% improvised. It is comprised of a single performance that has been split into tracks to frame miniature forms within the larger structure. Some subtle effects processing was added to some instruments during the mixing process.
Denial & Error was performed and recorded over the internet in real-time using the low-latency, bi-directional, high-quality audio network performance software, JackTrip. Band members were physically performing simultaneously in three different geographic locations: Blaine, WA; Burlington, WA; and Dallas, TX. As a result of this process, there are some moments throughout the album where intermittent dropouts, errors, and noise/distortion occur.
Track 10 contains a sample of the traditional song, "Auld Lang Syne."
