Durotriges from Electric Runes by Secret Archives of the Vatican

This tune isn't very melodic...it is meant to be textural, primordial, ritual dark folk music. Main instruments are a cello and a nyckelharpa, with a gittern and a chirimia adding to the melody. We've also added some throat singing and overtone singing. We know nothing of the music of the inhabitants of what is now England before the Roman invasion so there is nothing at all historically accurate about the music here. It is an impression, a flavour, a ghost.

The Durotriges were one of the Celtic tribes living in Britain prior to the Roman invasion. Their name can probably be broken down into two parts. "Duro", which means "hard" or "strong place"' and was widely used for early Roman forts, and "trig" means "inhabitant". That would produce a meaning of "fort dwellers" or dwellers in hill forts.
