During the second lockdown, at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, the Forgue collective organized a series of recording and listening sessions around a Maciet organ housed in the basement of the Marais Foundation.

In these sessions, spectators were invited to sit in the auditorium while an artist chosen at random played for twenty minutes, using not only the organ but also other instruments. This participation did not require any previous instrumental training and the results can finally be heard in this release: long drones, simple but colorful harmonies and melodies and a rare sense of calm.

The Forgue collective was born out of this communal spirit, with the aim of allowing other artists and musicians to discover the timbral, tonal and melodic richness of this instrument.
