The largest improvised one-take piece I've done so far. It began as this endearing Pixar-esque daydream, centered around a fictional old man who was once a sailor in his youth. In the years since his wife's passing, he sits at the same bench, wooden and weathered, and looks out over the shore and horizon. Every. day.
From a technical standpoint, I really enjoyed working with the byzantine wash of reverb on this piano. Each key press felt like dropping a pebble into a lake.
