I was challenging the envelope regarding a life
A boundary closer to the edge
When drowning in the vacuum
Of the choices I made
There was one that I never would regret

Perused by wolves
On through the wood
On flowing shallow flight
Witch’s hair and empty stare
Chatoyant crystal light
Tangled mane
Braided wisdom
Antler leaf and twig 
Escape the prison crater
Moving out reach within
 
Rejoin the chase 
With wolves that wait  
Focused sharp
Approach the dawn   
Unknow the fear
Such wonders here
We carry on   
Unweary ones
Black burning hair 
Still haunts the air   
 
Fly until the sky transforms 
From filtered frozen light 
Frost to rust in living landscape
Seen but not by sight
Stop to stare at canyon's edge
To distant coral seas
And witness a translucent form
She reaches out to me
All at once
Without a sound
She exhales what is known
An eye closed here is open where I leap
Rejoin the fold

Silent speed
From canyon’s deep
The craft it moves
Motion free
Dimension time and
Space and mind
Merge as one
Yet come undone
I heed the call
I feel the fall

Falling for one instant
Plunge beneath the surface waves
Life’s blood pours through vacant holes
Wounds perhaps that we had made

I know not where I was
But I had no other care
I’d have happily been born right then
But there’d be no body there

For I have come and gone
Through the vortex of learning
And I alone must find a way
To some distant other sun
