San Diego emcee SCVTTERBRVIN links back up with New Jersey crate-digger and beat architect The Custodian Of Records for a new single called “Spaceway Traveler.”
This isn’t some random one-off. The two already proved their brilliant connection on “Supreme Mathematics and Bad Habits” (from Custodian’s Sampler Platter LP) and on “Unidentified Fly” with Estee Nack (off SCVTTERBRVIN’s Grand Theft Audio Vol. 4). Each cut sounded like it was pulled from a dusty VHS of an alternate hip-hop timeline—preposterous, unpolished, and weirdly futuristic.
“Spaceway Traveler” takes that same energy and blasts it further into orbit. It’s surreal, psychedelic street rap—cosmic transmissions over boom-bap grit. Think outer space frequencies patched through busted MPC 2000 circuits.
