RECORDING CREDITS
Jason Collum, Thad Beaty and Scott Riggan produced and arranged everything (with many inspired ideas from everyone involved). Thad played all the guitars. Jason played drums, percussion, piano and orchestra bells and spent countless hours hunched over his powerbook editing…and tweaking…and editing. Mark Childres played bass. Lonnie Fowler played piano, keyboards and B-3. Matt Stanfield also played piano and Wurlitzer and he provided any and all space noises. Scott played piano on “Matches”. John Catchings arranged the strings (brilliantly, I might add) and played cello. Pamela Sixfin played violin. Scott sang a lot (all the while re-writing several of the songs at the last minute). Chance Scoggins contributed some incredible background vocals (and Jason, Thad and Scott sang some harmonies and stuff too). Jimmy recorded some of it at Playground Recording Studios in Nashville and Thad did a lot of stuff at Brown Sugar Studios in Franklin (and there was additional work by Jason at Snap, Crackle and Pop Studios and some vocals engineered by Scott Pergande at The Mix House in Boise). Jimmy mixed everything at Apollo 54, Steve Lotz engineered vocals and Dan Shike at Tone And Volume mastered the record. Thad plays Langejans guitars. Mark uses GHS strings and plays Fender bass guitars. Jason plays Gretsch drums and pretty much lives on O’Charley’s loaded potato soup (and the occasional sushi). Scott plays Hoener melodicas (but not on this record). Inspired by Romans 12 and a great deal of good coffee.
THANKS TO
I want to thank all of the friends and family who have been so supportive of this crazy thing I do. There are too many of you to mention, but I hope you know how much you are appreciated. Big super-sized thanks to Jason Collum and Thad Beaty – you guys are amazing, and I’m humbled at the time and talent you poured into this project. Special thanks to my family, Julie, Emily and Josiah. To Jason Hill, thanks for beating me regularly in racquetball (and for challenging me to reconsider the things I believe). Deep appreciation to Andrew Peterson and Ben Shive for writing “Holy Is The Lord” and to Michael and Debbie Smith for giving us “Great Is The Lord” – a classic that will outlive all of us. And to one of my heroes, the late Keith Green, thanks for the naked honesty of “My Eyes Are Dry” (and for shocking me into getting serious about Jesus when I was a kid). Thanks to Shannon Becker at Big Town Productions and Promotions, Carla Archuletta at Fruition Artist Agency, Glenda McNalley at The Select Artist Group, Jimmy Jernigan, Jerry Woods and everyone at KTSY, Dave Arthur at KFIS, Jesse Shuster, Chris Cooke, Ben Bauman, Bobby Marko, Len Engel, Shalom Pennington, Scott Cook, Shannon Presley, Eagle Christian Church, Aimee Griffin at Spinning Plates Music, Logan Beaty (for mostly not barking at the wrong times), Phillip White, the China team (“Sustained Panic World Tour” 2005!), Commit Ministries, and The JESUS Film Project. And finally, my deepest gratitude to my Lord and my God, Who alone is worthy of worship. May we bow to none but You.
