TAKAHASHI ROSE have their own way of composing in real-time through close-listening - giving to the moment they ‘allow’ the music to unfold. They also collaborate with dancer, choreographer Andrew Wass and as a trio their shared focus is somatic: extending bodily practices into the composition of music. The duo’s compositions are characterised by a fondness for harmonics and timbral material, melding, microtonality, multi-phonics, and dynamic variation.
