identity crisis by scarlet dahlias
Over the past 12 months, we’ve been recording our debut album at home using a fostex four-track cassette recorder we recently got secondhand. The result is "identity crisis" - a lo-fi, patchwork debut that plays like an unearthed obscure alternative mixtape from the late ‘80s.
The songs range from fuzzy shoegaze and gothic electronic confessionals, to raw ambient folk and dreamy slowcore, unified by themes of rural isolation, dislocation, and navigating our queer identity in a conservative regional town.
Everything was recorded by Evey and Ash on Yorta Yorta country, regional Victoria.
