Savana Funk by SAVANA FUNK
The second album “SAVANA FUNK” (Brutture Moderne/ Audioglobe), released on 24th February, 2017, also came out under the name Aldo Betto w/ Blake Franchetto & Youssef Ait Bouazza, preceded by the title track on the 21st of January.
The album has obtained many reviews on some major magazines and blogs, within and outside the music sector. Composed and conceived as a trio effort, “Savana Funk” clearly shows this Bolognese band maturing along the road. Guesting on this album are: Piero Bittolo Bon, Kalifa Kone, Nicola Peruch, Danilo Mineo e Mecco Guidi.
As of 2018 the trio decide to adopt as their official artist name SAVANA FUNK.

Aldo, Blake and Youssef (respectively from Italy, England
and Morocco) first met in spring 2015, in
Bologna, Italy. It became immediately apparent to them that
they shared a special bond on an emotional
and musical level. A mixture of
African music, funk, blues, psychedelic rock and jazz
influences runs throughout their original repertoire.
In 2018 they officially adopted the name SAVANA FUNK.
