Versus by Sangre Nueva

Club Romantico announce the first installment of their Versus series - a new concept where Club Romantico friends and family members come together to deliver three tracks each.

The curation of Versus aims to create a contrasting sonic reflection between the three artists. Sangre Nueva (made up of Florentino, DJ Python and Kelman Duran) take the helm for its initiation. In this instance, it’s a group collaboration in name but solo tracks in truth.

Kelman Duran leads with the “Laine,” ambient washes turn into a trippy drum workout at the halfway mark, which sets the tone. On “Toka,” Florentino delivers what he does best, a low-slung mutable dembow rhythms leaves you feeling sinister and sensual in equal measure. While DJ Python wraps things up with a lighter touch of slow burning deepness on “Verduras.”
